Whereas, Article 7.2 of the bylaws of the Employee Assembly provides the Employee Assembly, hereinafter referred to as the Assembly, with the ability to establish Ad Hoc committees as needed; and<br /><br />Whereas, the Assembly in partnership with the Department of Transportation & Mail Services held a Transportation Forum open to all Cornell staff on November 16, 2016 for employees to express their concerns regarding transportation and parking options; and<br /> <br />Whereas, the Assembly has determined that additional research and further discussion are needed to resolve some of the key issues raised.<br /><br />Be it therefore resolved, that the Assembly will establish a Transportation Task Force to review employee concerns related to parking regulations, parking tier structures, and the availability of public transportation and parking infrastructure and to develop recommendations for review by the full Assembly. <br /> <br />Be it further resolved, that the Transportation Task Force be chaired by a member of the Assembly with membership comprised of at least three seated members of the Assembly, at least three employees from across campus, and representatives from Commuter and Parking Services.<br /><br />Be it finally resolved, the Transportation Task Force will provide a recommendation to the full Assembly no later than the May 3, 2017. <br /><br />Adopted by Vote of the Assembly (13-0-0), April 5, 2017, <br /><br />Respectfully Submitted,<br /><br />Tanya Grove, Division of Human Resources Representative<br /><br />
