S. Balik Conveyed to President Skorton

Dear President Skorton, <br /><br />I would like to convey Resolution 19: Improving Lighting and Fix Walkway on Libe Slope to you. This resolution was co-sponsored by Representatives Syed Ali Khan and David Vakili. <br /><br />This resolution received great support from the membership of the SA, who find that walking down certain paths on the slope can be dark and dangerous at night. The goal of this resolution is to maintain the beauty of the slope, while ensuring that students can travel safely. <br /><br />Representatives Ali Khan and Vakili have been hard at work already to make this a reality. They have been in contact with Senior Director of Facilities Management Ben Kuo regarding this issue. Brian Watson, from their Engineering Department, has brought up this issue with members of the Crime Prevention unit, who discuss this location as part of their lighting survey, which occurs annually. <br /><br />We hope that this collaboration will improve student safety in the near future. <br /><br />Thank you for your consideration. <br /><br />Best, <br />Sarah<br />
