Thank you for conveying to me Student Assembly Resolution #23: Standing in Solidarity with Uyghur Muslims and Minorities. I appreciate the Student Assembly’s dedication to and support of student advocacy and engagement with regard to critical global issues, and I support all our students in their opportunity to pursue higher education at Cornell.  

As I stated in my response to Resolution 39 in 2021, Cornell’s foreign university partners are required to adhere to Cornell’s rigorous academic standards and fundamental principles. These partnerships provide invaluable opportunities for our students and faculty.

Partnerships are reviewed regularly by the relevant academic leader. I thank the Assembly for sharing its concerns with me.
