Notes

Thank you for conveying to me Student Assembly Resolution #28: Protecting the Right to Protest. I appreciate the Assembly’s strong support for free expression, which as the resolution notes is one of Cornell’s core values. Our Student Code of Conduct highlights how essential the freedom to assemble and protest peacefully and lawfully is to academic freedom and the University’s function as an educational institution. I affirm my support of the exercise of this freedom where it does not, as the code notes, infringe upon the rights of others or interfere with the peaceful and lawful use and enjoyment of Cornell’s premises, facilities, and programs.

Sincerely,

Martha E. Pollack
