Dear Patrick,

 

My thanks to Valeria and the SA for conveying to me Student Assembly Resolution #42: B.I.K.E.S.H.A.R.E. Cornell has worked closely with the Center for Community Transportation during its launch of the Ithaca Bikeshare system and will continue to collaborate with them. Our Transportation department helped Ithaca Bikeshare identify appropriate parking hubs around campus to make their system more efficient and effective. 

 

In order to further develop the relationship between the University and Ithaca Bikeshare, I have asked our Transportation department to work with the CCT staff to optimize bike sharing on campus. We also will revisit our messaging for biking around campus to improve safety and encourage people to explore this sustainable transportation option.
