Good morning President Pollack,

It is my pleasure to convey to you Resolution 50, Creating an Ad Hoc Committee on Cornell University's Corporate Social Responsibility and ESG Policies. This resolution was created to examine ESG principles at Cornell. The resolution was created as a compromise between groups on campus after a multi hour DEI meeting with representation from both CML and Cornell Hillel. As we get this committee started, we would appreciate your recognition in the incredibly difficult decision that assembly members had to make in creating this committee and understand the gravitas of this committee’s success. We will be amending this resolution at our meeting this week to make this committee a joint committee between the Student Assembly and the Graduate Professional Student Assembly, we hope this adds even more breadth to this committee. We would hope that we would have administrations full support in investigating these polices. There is precedent for this type of action as laid out in the resolution. This resolution passed 29-0-2.

Best,
Patrick Kuehl (He/Him)
President of the Student Assembly
