| Notes | It is my pleasure to convey to you University Assembly Resolution 6: Purple Heart Designation. This resolution designates Cornell University as a Purple Heart University, honoring the service and sacrifice of the wounded or killed servicemembers in our community and conitueing our commitment of gratitude to them. Before approval by the University Assembly, the resolution was reviewed and is supported by Provost Kotlikoff, VP Rick Burgess (who is the executive sponsor of the VCNG), members of the Cornell Military Consortium (many of whom have signed on as co-sponsors), VP Christine Lovely, and AVP Sonia Rucker.
